Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR with Dr. Nicholas Dogris (60mins | $200)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured psychotherapy designed to alleviate distress associated with traumatic memories. By engaging clients in bilateral brain stimulation while recalling distressing events, EMDR facilitates the brain's natural healing processes, enabling the reprocessing of traumatic information. This approach has been shown to reduce the emotional impact of traumatic memories, allowing individuals to heal more rapidly than with traditional therapy methods.

EMDR therapy operates on the premise that the brain's information processing system naturally gravitates toward mental health. When this system becomes blocked or imbalanced due to traumatic experiences, emotional wounds can persist and cause significant distress. Through a unique approach to EMDR using neurostimulation, we assist clients in removing these blocks, thereby resuming the brain's innate healing process. This method has been recognized for its efficacy in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related conditions.
